GIGABYTE Radeon RX 7600 Gaming OC 8G, 8GB GDDR6, 2x HDMI, 2x DP

Intels Grafikkarten der Battlemage-Serie alias Arc B580 und B570 verlieren auf kleineren/älteren CPUs mehr Leistung als die direkten Konkurrenten GeForce RTX 4060 und Radeon RX 7600 XT, das haben „CPU-Overhead-Tests“ auf AMD Ryzen gezeigt. Dieser Test mit Intel-Core-CPUs von 4 bis 24 Kernen bestätigt die Probleme.

Lower-performance graphics card series are always at the end of the queue of each new graphics card generation. It's also the case with the Radeon RX 7600, released about a half year after the RX 7900 XT/XTX. The lower performance and much more wallet-friendly RX 7600 is designed for less demanding gamers, for whom 1080p display resolution is just right. AMD directly describes the RX 7600 as a perfect GPU for 1080p and advertises it as such. I'm sure our review will answer whether the RX 7600 is perfect for lower display resolutions and is worth its price.

The Gigabyte RX 7600 Gaming OC 8G is an interesting card, its cooler design has the styling from Gigabyte's previous generation of cards with its mix of grey and black and an older fan design. It does still have the backlit branding as its only lighting accents which I’m not a big fan of. That said the look isn’t out of style at all and it doesn’t affect performance at all. The RX 7600 Gaming OC 8G is overclocked and in nearly all of our tests performed between 1 and 2 percent better than the stock-clocked reference RX 7600 and was faster than the RX 7600 Pulse as well. That wasn’t enough to rearrange our charts though, all of the RX 7600 perform great at 1080p and at capable at 1440p in some situations as well. The RX 7600 Gaming OC 8G came in surprisingly close to the RTX 3060 Ti and outperformed the RTX 4060 that Nvidia just recently launched. It did still have the same lower performance in Blender that all of the RX 7600 have had, but that wasn’t a surprise at all.

The AMD Radeon RX 7600 is here at last, and why stop at just one review when we also have the Gigabyte RX 7600 Gaming OC in the office too! Featuring their triple fan cooler design that follows the DNA of the existing Gaming OC cards and with the Nvidia RTX 4060 Ti landing just a few days ago, AMD has a full-on battle on their hands today, and I’m eager to see what this new card from Gigabyte can do, especially as the RX 7600 in MSRP form wasn’t received overly well.
