Fractal Design Meshify 2 Black Solid

Die Besonders durch das schicke Front Design aufgefallene Fractal Design Meshify-Serie bekommt heute mit dem Meshify 2 sowie dem Meshify 2 XL modularen Zuwachs. Fractal erfindet hier das Rad nicht neu, sondern verpasst dem Meshify 2 viele Features, die wir auch schon beim Define 7 gesehen und positiv aufgenommen haben.

Fractal Design bringt mit dem Meshify 2 zwar nicht die zweite Generation an den Start, verpasst dem Gehäuse allerdings die neusten Updates und verbessert dahingehend einige Punkte des Vorgängermodells. Wir haben uns den Midi-Tower im Video-Test etwas genauer angesehen und wollte herausfinden, ob das Meshify 2 auch in der Praxis überzeugen kann.

Insgesamt wieder ein gutes weiteres Machwerk von Fractal, dass vor allem Fans des Define 7 mit dem Wunsch nach mehr Airflow sehr gefallen dürfte. Optisch zählt das Meshify unter den Gehäuse mit Meshfront sowieso derzeit zu den Gewinnern, so dass man hier bedenkenlos zugreifen kann.

Fractal Design new Meshify 2 brings in all the good things that their chassis have - and puts a mesh on it

Fractal Design's brand new Meshify 2 case is not the same as the S2 Meshify! This $140-ish airflow-oriented Meshify 2 is in for review, thermals, acoustics, and more.

The Fractal Meshify 2 impresses just as much as the Define 7, which is no surprise as it utilizes the same frame under the hood. That said, there are a few subtle differences simply because the Meshify 2 is meant to favor airflow over silence with its mesh front. With the same structure at the core, the Meshify 2 is just as uncompromisingly solid and heavy as the more expensive Define 7—you get the same compatibility, unboxing experience, and core feature set.

The build quality of the Meshify 2 is top-notch. While the back panel does have some flex to it as do most cases, the frame of the case is solid. It was solid with the case stripped all the way down. All the edges are rolled or formed in such a manner to not snag cables or fingers. I Found myself leaning and putting quite a bit of pressure on one part of the case or another when I was installing the hardware and nothing moved or bent.

we won't be trading in our Define 7s anytime soon, but if you crave the heightened airflow, Meshify 2 is an appealing alternative.

It is hard not to be impressed with what Fractal is offering with their Meshify 2 and Meshify 2 XL. These cases are clearly close cousins of the Define 7 and its XL counterpart. Still, they come with more attractive pricepoints and design changes which cater the enclosures more towards gamers and overclockers and less towards professional and workstations users. Both cases offer distinctive looks, and both offer users an excellent feature set.
