    Testbewertung:
    Testbewertung: 91
    Originalwertung: 9.1/10

Zum 10. Jubiläum seiner Premium-Kopfhörer bringt Sony den "1000X The Collexion" auf den Markt. Inwiefern setzt er sich vom WH-1000XM6 ab?

    Originalwertung: 4.5/5

Sony’s 1000X The Collexion are the fashionable model in its WH-1000X series. While noise cancelling and battery life take a hit compared to the WH-1000XM6, these headphones are focused on delivering a better sound experience and comfort – and on that front they’ve succeeded.

techradar.com: I tested Sony’s most expensive wireless headphones ever to see if they're really worth the money, and I love the ‘exceptionally expansive, and almost hypnotic audio’ — but they come with downsides (translate)

    Testbewertung: 80
    Originalwertung: 4/5

The Sony 1000X The Collexion may be expensive, but their luxurious build, detailed sound, and top-tier comfortability help to justify their price tag. Their battery life is on the low side, and the ANC is a step down from what we saw on the Sony WH-1000XM6, but if you want headphones with the kind of spacious sound that made Apple’s AirPods Max a hit, but without being locked to Apple, then these are a strong choice.

There’s much to admire about Sony’s 1000X The Collexion over-ears. It’s impossible to ignore their poised, detail-rich performance, while that ample feature set and classy construction make them tough to resist. There is a ‘but’, however. In pursuing a particular sonic signature – namely, one that goes after scale, detail and clarity – it’s hard not to feel as though Sony has slightly thrown the baby out with the bathwater. Yes, these are seriously talented performers, but deep down, they feel like headphones which were built to impress rather than entertain. As a result, we find ourselves admiring them rather than completely falling in love.

Sony obviously spent a lot of time refining the design of its 1000X line for this 10th anniversary model. The 1000XX has a more premium look thanks to an abundance of leather and metal, as opposed to the usual matte plastic and leather formula. Some of those changes also lead to a more comfortable fit, which is always a welcome upgrade for a device you'll likely wear for hours at a time. I also celebrate the arrival of more robust DSEE upscaling as that's one of Sony's long-running features that I truly can't live without. Alas, a more perfect 1000X package wasn't meant to be this time. Despite the improvements here, I prefer the overall tuning and the more effective ANC performance on the WH-1000XM6. For a set of headphones that costs $650, nearly $200 more than the "regular" version, I have some pretty high expectations. For the first time in the history of the 1000X line, Sony failed to meet them. Read More: https://www.engadget.com/2176369/sony-1000x-the-collexion-review/

futurezone.at: Sony 1000X The Collexion im Test: Verliebt in eine Kopfhörertasche

Die Over-Ear-Kopfhörer kosten 280 Euro mehr als Sonys WH-1000XM6, auf denen sie basieren. Was bekommt man für diesen Aufpreis?

trustedreviews.com: Sony’s 1000X The Collexion are chic, fashion forward AirPods Max rivals (translate)

You can expect the same features as the WH-1000XM6, though as the premium option within the range, the WH-1000XX does come with some firsts for Sony. It’s the first headphone to feature Sony’s DSEE Ultimate feature, which uses real-time AI to upscale compressed music and restore detail and information in high frequencies (useful if you listen to low bit-rate streams). The headphones also expand Sony’s 360 Reality Audio format to three modes with 360 Upmix that can take a stereo signal an upconvert into “immersive” audio for music, video and games. Battery life is 24 hours rather than the normal 30, while noise-cancellation is described as not as strong as the WH-1000XM6 for reasons we’ll delve more deeply into with our review, as Sony bids to get another model into our list of best headphones and best wireless headphones. Given the price, you’d expect the Sony WH-1000XX to be going up against the AirPods Max 2, and one are where we feel it convincingly beats Apple is with the carry case. Shaped more like a bag, there’s a magnetic closure to lock and unlock the case, and inside a 3.5mm cable for wired listen. It’s a simple, elegant design that rather puts Apple’s weird carry case to shame.
