Die SPATIUM M570 PRO PCIe 5.0 NVMe M.2 FROZR ist eine extrem schnelle SSD für Enthusiasten, die spaß an maximaler Performance haben. Auch im Professionellen Einsatz wird man sicherlich Anwendungsoptionen für den schnellen Speicher finden, denn klar ist, die Performance wird sich nur in extremen Anwendungsfällen wirklich ausspielen. Leider ist der Preis der PCIe 5 SSDs gegenüber den PCIe 4 Modellen doch recht heftig. Man bekommt dort für das gleiche Geld oft die doppelte Kapazität. Aber "Highend" im PC war schon immer teuer, von daher bleibt nur die Hoffnung auf fallende Preise oder der Saure Apfel.

Mit der Spatium M570 Pro betritt nun auch MSI den Markt der HighEnd-PCIe5-Massenspeichern. Während die Technik dabei weitestgehend bekannt ist, gilt für die FROZR-Edition das Augenmerk besonders dem imposanten Kühlkörper mit drei Heatpipes. Inwiefern sich das Leistungsverhalten der MSI-SSD gegenüber den Mitbewerbern differenziert und wie es um die Kompatibilität bestellt ist, klären wir mit unserem Review.

Nicht weniger als die Leistungskrone peilt MSI mit der Spatium M570 Pro Frozr an. Auf dem Papier ist sie auch genauso schnell wie Crucial T700 und Corsair MP700 Pro, die aktuellen Flaggschiffe mit PCIe 5.0. MSI stapelt aber im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes ein gutes Stück höher.

Strictly looking at its benchmark scores, the MSI Spatium M570 Pro is one of the fastest solid state drives we’ve tested to date. In terms of performance, the MSI Spatium M570 Pro doesn’t have any weaknesses – the drive remained competitive throughout our tests and led the pack in some sequential tests, game level load times, and in the trace-based PCMark tests. Latency was very good as well, and MSI offers a competitive 5-year warranty. Bottom line, the MSI Spatium M570 Pro is one of the fastest all-around SSDs currently available. Of course, the MSI Spatium M570 Pro isn’t for everyone. The drive commands a premium, due to its high-performance and elaborate, included cooler. The MSI Spatium M570 Pro is currently available for about $330, which is on-par with other high-end drives like the Crucial T700 w/ Heatsink, but about 10% – 20% higher similar performing Gen 5 drives that don’t include heatsinks. That premium is well worth it in our opinion if the MSI Spatium M570 Pro is a good fit for your system and you don’t want to concern yourself with the possibility of thermal throttling, however. Overall, we have no problem recommending the MSI Spatium M570 Pro to any PC enthusiast or gamer shopping for a top-of-the-line Gen 5 SSD. The drive is consistently fast and it absolutely looks the part with that massive cooler.

The MSI Spatium M570 Pro Frozr comes with a big cooling solution that features three heatpipes. Even without a fan, it kept the drive very cool during all testing in our review, there was no thermal throttling. Performance is excellent, too, thanks to a speed rating for up to 12 GB/s.
