As an AMD optimised game, Devil May Cry 5 shines on Radeon hardware, but that doesn't mean that Geforce cards offer lousy performance. Users of GPUs from either manufacturer will have a great time here, with 60FPS being relatively easy to achieve. AMD's GPUs shine a little above their competitors, but AMD's gain does not come at Nvidia's detriment.

Devil May Cry 5 doesn't reinvent the wheel. It takes the award-winning playstyle from previous titles and refines it a little bit through new moves and capabilities, sprinkles on a little bit of skill management for RPG-players, and expands on complexity by letting you play several characters with vastly different playstyles. If you loved earlier DmC titles, you'll feel right at home. If you haven't played any, definitely give it a try.

It’s all about huge swords, epic fights, and ridiculous characters. Nothing about the game is subtle. It doesn’t have to be. It’s a gory, metalcore-driven, imperfect romp. It didn’t ask me for much — just 15 hours of my time and a willingness to admit that, all right, dragging a motorcycle across a demon’s face is, in fact, pretty badass.

Capcom returns to its trusted formula for something that plays like a outrageously pretty PS2 game - and that's a very good thing.
