Insgesamt präsentieren sich beide getesteten DDR5-Speicherkits als überzeugende Vertreter der aktuellen 6400-MT/s-Klasse und hinterlassen einen durchweg positiven Eindruck. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die breite Plattformunterstützung durch Intel XMP 3.0 und AMD EXPO.

Mit dem DDR5-6400 Pro Memory OC in der CL32-Ausführung liefert Micron ein technisch sauberes und in sich stimmiges Speicherkit, das klar auf niedrige Latenzen und reproduzierbare Leistung ausgelegt ist.

Das Crucial DDR5 Pro 6000MT/s Speicherkit ist ein sehr solides Speicherkit, das problemlos sowohl mit dem Intel XMP Profil, als auch mit dem AMD EXPO Profil betrieben werden kann. Ebenso ist es möglich das Kit über seine Werte hinaus zu betreiben. Im Test erreichten wir gute 6200MT/s bei einer CAS Latency von 36 aber auch das Tuning der Latenz runter auf CL34 bei 6000MT/s lief stabil. Die erreichten Benchmarkwerte sind durchaus performant.

When Crucial released their Pro line, I must admit that I was hoping for more, both in terms of out of the box performance and why not, even ARGB lighting on the heatspreaders. However, even though I didn’t get what I was hoping the 5600MHz at just 1.1V meant you could easily push them to 6000MHz and over and well, that should be good enough, at least for most users. The new Pro Overclocking kit is not only faster but also features lower CAS latency (46 vs 36) and so it’s obviously a better choice for people looking for higher performance compared to the Pro line. It also requires the same voltage as the Pro line so again you should be able to surpass 7000MHz at around 1.25V which is not bad at all (this however depends largely on your motherboard). Again, the lack of ARGB lighting is something I do think Crucial should look into (and my guess is they will soon) but at least this kit is available in both black and white colors.

The new Pro Series Overclocking kits from Crucial do function with tighter timings for obtaining a better performance overall versus the regular SKUs. Thoroughly tested for both Intel and AMD platforms, these can be considered as plug-and-play, by only activating the necessary XMP/EXPO profile; if the platform we are using is not exactly mainstream-to-high-end, we can still utilize the kits with the compatibility profiles, which is great!
